PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To satisfactorily suppress exhaust gas interference in an exhaust emission control device of an internal combustion engine equipped with a split-type exhaust manifold and an external EGR device. SOLUTION: The exhaust gas control device of an internal combustion engine comprises a first exhaust manifold 12, a second exhaust manifold 14, an EGR cooler 18, a bypass passage 20 for bypassing the EGR cooler 18, a switching valve 32, a first EGR gas port 22 provided for the first exhaust manifold 12, a first EGR passage 26 for connecting the first EGR gas port 22 to the downstream side of the bypass passage 20, a second EGR gas port 28 provided for the second exhaust manifold 14, and a second EGR passage 30 for connecting the second EGR gas port 28, the EGR cooler 18, and the upstream side of the bypass passage 20.
