<p>A cuff member for a catheter assembly has two grooves formed on the wall thereof to receive an adhesive for securing the cuff member to the tube of the catheter assembly. The cuff member is an integral elastic wall member having a cylindrical shape. The two grooves are formed adjacent opposite ends of the wall member. The grooves help to maintain the adhesive in a predetermined configuration. Preferably the grooves have the same width and depth. Their depth can range between 0.003 inches and 0.010 inches.</p> |
