PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently melt the frost falling in a drain pan in a cooling device comprising a plurality of use-side heat exchangers. SOLUTION: This cooling device 100 comprises a compressor 1 for compressing a refrigerant, the use-side heat exchangers 41, 42, a heat source-side heat exchanger 2, an expanding mechanism 3 and drain pan heaters 51, 52. The use-side heat exchangers 41, 42 or the heat source-side heat exchanger 2 is functioned as a condenser and the other is functioned as an evaporator. The drain pan heaters 51,52 are disposed on drain pans 91, 92 disposed at a lower part of the use-side heat exchangers 41, 42, and utilize the heat of the refrigerant. The drain pan heaters 51, 52 are respectively connected with the use-side heat exchangers 41, 42 through the common expanding mechanism 3, and corresponded to the use-side heat exchangers 41, 42 one by one. Piping volumes of the drain pan heaters 51, 52 are proportional to piping volumes of the corresponding use-side heat exchangers 41, 42. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
