<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet finisher capable of easily removing a paper sheet on a vertical tray, and detecting a fullness state of a saddle tray without generating any mechanical discharge jam while allowing booklets to be stacked close to the mechanical limit. <P>SOLUTION: The sheet finisher has a saddle stitching and folding unit for folding a paper sheet discharged by an image forming unit to form a fold, a discharging mechanism 40 for discharging the paper sheet having a fold formed by the saddle stitching and folding unit, a stacking mechanism for holding the paper sheets discharged by the discharging mechanism 40, and a slip amount calculator which outputs a fullness state of the paper sheets held by the stacking mechanism to the image forming unit if a slip amount of the discharging mechanism 40 exceeds a threshold. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
