The purpose of the present invention is to obtain, using a simple press working process, while avoiding warping problems, a long electric-wire protecting pipe having a flat external shape. An electric-wire protecting pipe (1), in which a reinforced section (11) and a flat pipe section (1Y) are formed, is made of metal, and surrounds the periphery of electric wires (9). The reinforced section (11) extends along the whole of the pipe in the length direction at one section of the electric-wire protecting pipe (1) in the peripheral direction, and is thicker than the other sections. The flat pipe section (1Y) occupies at least one section in the length direction, and is formed flat by way of press working.
