PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively and easily construct a large-scale image inspection system having a plurality of image inspection devices regarding the image inspection system used for visual examination of printed matter. SOLUTION: In the image inspection system having a plurality of image inspection devices, each image inspection device has a reference signal input terminal, a reference signal output terminal, and a reference signal generation means for generating a reference signal for outputting to the reference signal output terminal based on an image signal obtained by scanning an image to be inspected by an imaging means.
