<p>An absorbent article that ensures easy wearing thereof by a user with its size reduced; and a process for producing the absorbent article. The absorbent article is one brought into contact with the body at use, comprising an absorbent member for liquid absorption and an absorbent article main body having a face on the body side at use to which the absorbent member is joined, wherein the absorbent member has a longitudinal direction, a width direction and a thickness direction, and wherein the absorbent member at one end portion of the longitudinal direction is undetachably joined to the absorbent article main body while the other end portion of the longitudinal direction is detachably joined to a portion inside the outer edge of the absorbent article main body, and wherein the absorbent member has a nonjoined portion not joined with the absorbent article main body between the junction on the other end portion side and the outer edge of the absorbent article main body.</p> |
