METHOD FOR ASSESSING VOLUME OF ANATOMICAL STRUCTURE

A method for assessing the volume of the anatomical structure comprises the measurement of the volume of water displaced from the graduated vessel. The cavity of the anatomical organ is filled beforehand with the mixture of paraffin-wax at a ratio of 1:1 at the temperature of 70 °С. Upon the cooling and the hardening, the structure is fixed with formalin. The cast is removed and immersed into the graduated vessel filled with water.
