PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a position detecting apparatus capable of accurately detecting the absolute position of a moving body. SOLUTION: A position detecting apparatus 1 for detecting the absolute position of a moving body comprises: an absolute position acquisition means 10 for acquiring the absolute position of the moving body; an absolute position probability distribution acquisition means 10 for acquiring a probability distribution of the absolute position of the moving body; a relative position acquisition means 11 for acquiring the relative position relationship between moving bodies; and an absolute position determining means 21 for determining the absolute positions of three or more moving bodies based on the absolute positions of the three or more moving bodies, the probability distribution of the absolute positions and the relative position relationship between the three or more moving bodies.
