PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the overheating of a heater of a dishwasher. SOLUTION: The dishwasher comprises a washing tub, a suction route reaching the washing tub, an exhaust route reaching the washing tub, a fan installed in at least one of the suction route and the exhaust route, an index detection means for detecting an index which varies depending on air resistance when air passes through a route from the suction route to the exhaust route, a heater for heating the air introduced into the washing tub from the suction route, an intra-washing-tube temperature sensor for detecting a temperature inside the washing tub, and a controller. The controller performs an index detection step of detecting the index, a target temperature setting step of setting a target temperature which is low as the detected index is a value indicating high air resistance, and a dish drying step of operating the fan and the heater so as to turn the temperature detected in the intra-washing-tub temperature sensor to the target temperature set in the target temperature setting step and sending hot air into the washing tub.
