PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gondola moving apparatus which enables a gondola to be easily moved to an optional three-dimensional position, and which can suppress the longitudinal and horizontal swinging of the gondola. SOLUTION: This gondola moving apparatus comprises: the gondola 10 on which an operator can get; a plurality of upside ropes 20a, 20b, 20c and 20d for suspending the gondola 10; upside rope driving means 30a, 30b, 30c and 30d which can be arranged at four corners of a boiler 1 forming a space for moving the gondola 10, respectively, and which wind/unwind the upside ropes; an input means for inputting a movement command including the direction of the movement of the gondola 10; and a movement control means 25 for controlling each of the upside rope driving means so that the gondola 10 can move in the direction based on the movement command. Since the gondola is suspended from four sides, the longitudinal and horizontal swinging can be suppressed for an improvement in safety during high lift work. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
