<p>An upwind type wind wheel (1) has a tiltably connecting mechanism (15), tiltably driving means (40), and rotation stop means (18). The tiltably connecting mechanism (15) connects the base end portion of each blade (6) to a hub (5) such that the blade (6) can be tilted between a normal attitude and a sheltered attitude in which the blade is tilted from the normal attitude to the lee side. The tiltably driving means (40) operates so as to change the attitude of each blade (6) in cooperation with the tiltably connecting mechanism (15). The rotation stop means (18) stops rotation of a rotor (4). To change each blade (6) to the sheltered attitude, the rotation stop means (18) is operated to stop the rotor (4) at a predetermined rotation position at which the blade (6) can be tilted without interfering with a column (2). After the rotation of the rotor (4) is stopped, each blade (6) is tilted to the sheltered attitude by operating the tiltably driving means (15).</p> |
