PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make certain short circuit of electric wires using a joint connector, while avoiding increase in the number of components and large size of the joint connector. SOLUTION: The joint connector JC is provided with a joint terminal 30 for short circuit and a connector housing 40. The joint terminal 30 has a plurality of electric connection parts 32 and a short circuit part 34 to connect these. The connector housing 40 has a bottom wall 45 or the like to surround the terminal insertion space 47 for inserting each electric wire side terminal, and a lance 46 for locking the electric wire side terminal inserted. The lance 46 is bending displaced so as to project to the outside from the bottom wall 45 in order to retreat from the electric wire side terminal during the time until the electric wire side terminal reaches a normal insertion depth position, and when reached, restores elastically into the bottom wall 45.
