PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wheelchair for nursing care which enables an adjustment of a shape of the backrest to conform to a curved state of the spine of a person in need of nursing care and makes the person in need of nursing care seated stably. SOLUTION: The wheelchair for nursing care is equipped with a travelling vehicle body 12 equipped with pairs of right and left front wheels 12b and rear wheels 12c and a seat part 14 for seating on the travelling vehicle body 12. The wheelchair is equipped with the lower backrest part 16 for supporting the lower part of the back of the seated person 30 in need of nursing care and the upper backrest part 18 for supporting the upper part of the back and the head part. The wheelchair is equipped with a rotating shaft 20 and a fixing member 20a which are members for adjusting an angle and where each of the backrest parts 16, 18 is connected and fixed in a manner to alter the angle. The wheelchair is equipped with a mechanism 22 for altering an angle of the lower back surface for adjusting an angle to mount the lower backrest part 16 relative to the seat part 14.
