PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem in displaying processing of a result of retrieval wherein contents having the same thumbnail may be displayed on a list screen of a system though the different contents are pointed. SOLUTION: This program has a function for registering contents of which registration is requested by a client, and the information associated with the contents, a function for registering the thumbnail (herein after called representative thumbnail) representing characteristics of the contents from the registered contents, and a function for further registering the thumbnail (herein after called alternative thumbnail) having a role for assisting the indication of the characteristics of the contents from the registered contents according to the information associated with the contents.
