PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrostatic charge image developing carrier which hardly cause stripping of a cover resin layer and can stably perform image formation over a long time without almost depending on an environment such as temperature and humidity. SOLUTION: The electrostatic charge image developing carrier is a particle provided by forming at least a resin cover layer onto a magnetic particle, wherein the resin cover layer contains a polyester resin obtained from at least polyhydric carboxylic acid and polyhydric alcohol, the polyester resin contains monomer unit represented by the following formula (1) originated from the polyhydric alcohol in an amount of 5 mol% to 50 mol% and the coverage of the resin cover layer to the magnetic particle is 80% or more. In the formula (1), each of R1to R6presents a substituent independently, each of X and Y presents single bond or bivalent organic group independently, and each of m and n presents an integer of 0 to 4 independently.
