PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a melting furnace for improving working efficiency in maintenance and repair while suppressing the sticking of slag in the melting furnace with a simple constitution. SOLUTION: This melting furnace includes a melting portion 12 generating slag, and a chute 20 disposed while surrounding the slag flowing down from the melting portion 12, an inner wall 21 of the chute 20 is composed of an inner wall body portion 26 composed of refractory, and a detachable block 30 detachably fixed to the inner wall body portion 26, and the detachable block 30 includes a block portion 32 composed of refractory, and projecting portions 34 supported by the block portion 32 while projecting inward from an inner side face of the block portion 32 and an inner side face of the inner wall body portion 26 to allow the slag flowing down from the melting portion 12 to flow down from a position separating to an inner side with respect to the inner side face of the inner wall body portion 26 of the chute 20 and the inner side face of the block portion 32.
