<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wheel bearing device which can keep bearing performance for a long period of time by improving a sealing performance of seal. <P>SOLUTION: The wheel bearing device is characterized in that a backup seal 21 is arranged in an outer side of an inner side seal 9; this backup seal 21 consists of a core bar 22 including a cylindrical fitting section 22a press-fitted to an edge periphery of an outer member 10, a collar section 22b extended from this fitting section 22a to radial inner side, and a cylindrical section 22c extended from this collar section 22b to axial direction, and a seal member 23 which is connected with this core bar 22, and includes a pair of radial lips 23a, 23b extended in slant in axial direction; a slinger 19 roughly formed in L shape in cross section is externally fitted to a shoulder section 13; this slinger 19 includes a cylindrical fitting section 19a press-fitted to an outer diameter of the shoulder section 13; a vertical plate 19b extended from this fitting section 19a to radial inner side; and the radial lips 23a, 23b are slidably in contact with the fitting section 19a. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
