PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation device for providing an occupant with an enlarged view of a course changing point without a sense of incongruity at appropriate times so as not to cause stress, delays in vehicle operation, etc., as to a navigation device for enlargingly displaying the vicinity of the changing point ahead in the traveling direction at a prescribed moment. SOLUTION: This navigation device 10 is equipped with a storage part 15 for therein storing map data 15a, a route calculating means 23 for setting a guidance route, a display part 16 for displaying a map of the periphery of the present position of a vehicle on a display image plane and displaying an enlarged view of a course changing point on the guidance route C at a prescribed moment before arriving at the changing point. This navigation device 10 is equipped with a course changing point information acquiring means (route calculating means 23) for acquiring information on the changing point in the guidance route C, and a display time changing means (display switching means 25) for changing the time to start the display of the enlarged view of the changing point based on the information on the changing point acquired by the acquiring means.
