PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carrier which allows a coating layer on a carrier core material surface to obtain a desired resistance value, can prevent scraping or peeling of the coating layer resulting from stress by long-term agitation and suppress reduction in resistance or color contamination, and further has excellent charging capacity to toner. SOLUTION: The electrophotographic carrier includes a coating layer containing at least a binder resin and conductive fine particles, which is provided on a surface of magnetic core material particle.
