HARQ OPERATION METHOD FOR RETRANSMITTED DATA

A HARQ(Hybrid Automatic Repeat Request) operation method for processing retransmission data is provided to reduce an error rate of data transmission by preventing the loss of the data in the HARQ operation for processing the data which is downwardly transmitted in a terminal MAC layer of E-UMTS(Evolved Universal Mobile Telecommunications System) or LTE(Long Term Evolution System). A first data transfer indicator and the first data are received from a network. The received first data is decoded. If the received first data is successively decoded, the positive response message is transferred to the network. A second data transfer indicator and the second data are received from the network after the positive response message is transmitted. When the first data transmission indicator is identical to the second data transmission indicator, the received second data is decoded. The first data transfer indicator or the second data transfer indicator is received by an NDI(New Data Indicator) field in a PDCCH(Physical Downlink Control Channel) channel.
