A mobile terminal and a power saving method thereof are provided to prevent sudden stop of a performed data transceiving operation by setting a power saving mode according to detection of transceived data while the data is transceived through the mobile Internet. A wireless communicator(110) transceives data through the mobile Internet. A controller(180) selects an application performed in connection with a data transceiving operation. The controller sets a power saving state to a component performing the remaining applications except for the selected application. The controller executes the selected application. |
