An apparatus for displaying operation mode of a PVR TV is provided to enable a user to recognize current operation mode conveniently even though power is not supplied to a display panel for power consumption reduction. A display unit(110) displays that current operation mode is reserved recording mode recording a broadcasting program. If current time is start time of a reserved recording broadcasting program, a microcomputer(50) controls the display unit to display a currently reserved recording state. A broadcasting signal of the reserved recording broadcasting program is converted into a digital signal and stored in an HDD.
