A media feeding mechanism is provided to progress the paper medium by minimizing the friction of the paper medium during the progressing of the paper medium. A media feeding mechanism comprises a receiving part(110), a pick-up separation unit and a media presser portion(130). The receiving part comprises a supporting plate(112), a support stand(114) and a guide(116). The support stand is formed on the supporting plate and supports the bottom center part of the paper medium. The pick-up separation unit is arranged in the front side of the receiving part, and picks up and separates the paper medium. The media presser portion pressurizes the paper medium to the pick-up exhausting part in the receiving part. The guide comprises a plurality of protrusions. |
