<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic apparatus whose housing can be easily opened while suppressing upsizing of a device and manufacturing cost increase thereof. <P>SOLUTION: The electronic apparatus has a first housing including a first front edge portion and a first rear edge portion and having a predetermined length, the front edge portion having a recess in a top surface thereof, the recess being recessed with respect to a reference surface of the top surface; a second housing including a second front edge portion and a second rear edge portion and having a length shorter than that of the first housing; and a connecting portion connecting the first rear edge portion of the first housing with the second rear edge portion of the second housing such that the second housing can be opened and closed with respect to a top surface of the first housing.
