PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device performing the positioning of a medium and an image without degrading a productivity. SOLUTION: The image forming device for performing the positioning by moving a medium during the conveyance in the main scanning direction for forming an image has: a movable roller which is axially movable along the main scanning direction; a medium end position detection unit for detecting the end position of the medium in the main scanning direction; and a control unit for calculating the deviation of the medium in the main scanning direction from the end position detected by the medium end position detection unit. The control unit obtains the correction for the image forming position with respect to the medium based on the calculated deviation of the medium, or based on the deviation of the medium and information on the moving position of the roller, or it corrects the image forming position based on the correction amount by moving the medium or a medium delayed from the medium by the predetermined page number by the movable roller by the difference between the correction amount of the image forming position and the deviation of the medium as the object.
