An optical disk apparatus, a position control method, and an optical pickup are provided to increase the position accuracy of record mark formed on a uniform record layer of an optical disc by focusing the focus of a reference beam on a preexistence reference track. An optical disk apparatus comprises: an objective lens(18) condensing information beam and the reference beam on the uniform record layer within an optical disc by recording marks showing information; an optical path forming section forming an optical path of the reference beam and information beam in order to be incident to an objective lens; and a location control section controlling the location of the objective lens in order to focus the reference beam on a reference track.
