<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a propeller shaft allowing reduction of a metal forked yoke in a joint part, Cardan type joint parts including a cross type joint and a metal stab shaft and the use of a FRP (fiber reinforced plastic) cylindrical body capable of sufficiently securing joining strength with a constant speed joint with a large weight reducing effect. <P>SOLUTION: This propeller shaft is constituted of the FRP cylindrical body including a peripheral direction reinforced winding layer by reinforced fibers at an end part and the constant speed joint connected to a driving shaft of a driving source. The constant speed joint has a cutting tooth extending in the axial direction on an outer peripheral surface and having the diameter of a tooth end larger than an inner diameter of the cylindrical body end part. The constant speed joint is joined to an inner wall at the end part so that the cutting tooth may be bitten into the inner wall, while carving notches on the inner wall by the cutting tooth at the inside of the cylindrical end part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
