PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a defrosting operation control device and its method for a refrigerating-freezing device capable of preventing loss of energy and degradation of freezing efficiency. SOLUTION: This defrosting operation control device 11 of the refrigerating-freezing device 1 comprising an evaporator 31 having a first heater 41 for defrosting a heat exchanger (coil 33 and fin 34), a second heater 42 for defrosting a drain pan 38, and a third heater 15 for defrosting one or more selected from a group composed of a chuck damper 36, an air distribution fan 37, a suction hood 35, an inlet portion of a drain pipe 39 for discharging the drainage accumulated in the drain pan to the outside of a system, and the whole drain pipe, comprises a heating control means performing control to distribute electric power to the third heater at a time same as a power distribution time to the first heater or a time including a prescribed time before and after the power distribution time of the first heater.
