<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a quantum encryption device with a simpler device configuration than a conventional technology with respect to a device to be possessed by a regular user. <P>SOLUTION: This quantum encryption device is provided with: a light source for generating a photon as the information carrier of a quantum bit; a branch coupler for branching the photon generated by the light source at random to a plurality of transmission paths; a number of photon non-destructive measurement device for non-destructively detecting the presence/absence of the photon to be propagated for each of the plurality of transmission paths; and a photon pulse state preparation means for transmitting double photon pulses prepared in a non-orthogonal four states to a single transmission path depending on the propagation path on which the photon has passed among the plurality of propagation paths. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
