A system for sensing a regular stop-position and a control method thereof are provided to accurately recognize a present position of a train by displaying a position of the train on a LED display device. A system for sensing a regular stop-position includes a train detection sensor module, an operation part(200), and a display part(300). The train detection sensor module includes a regular position stop detection sensor and a stop distance detection sensor(120). The regular position stop detection sensor provides a train position information signal to the operation part. The stop distance detection sensor provides train position information to the operation part in order to display a stop distance of the train. The operation part operates the position information signal provided from the train detection sensor module. The display part displays the position and the distance information operated by the operation part.
