A composition containing a Rubus coreanum Miquel extract is provided to prevent and treat hair loss by suppressing the activation of 15-hydroxyprostaglandin dehydrogenase(15-PGDH) without skin irritation. A composition for hair growth comprises 0.5-10 weight% of Rubus coreanum Miquel extract as an active ingredient. The Rubus coreanum Miquel extract is obtained by extracting a Rubus coreanum Miquel with water, methanol, ethanol, or their mixture. The Rubus coreanum Miquel extract is obtained by using fruit, stem, leaf, and root of Rubus coreanum Miquel. The Rubus coreanum Miquel extract is ethanol extract. The composition is used in a form of nutrition cream, nutrition lotion, massage cream, nutrition essence, skin softener, pack, soap or foam cleanser.
