A method for computing an intimacy rate between contact information and a user, and a method for displaying a contact information list by using the intimacy rate are provided to calculate the correlation between a phone number and a user based on various communication records. A communication index producing unit(120) calculates a communication index between a phone number and a user of a terminal, and a communication freshness degree producing unit(140) calculates communication freshness based on a recent communication time interval between the phone number and the user. In addition, the communication freshness degree producing unit calculates the communication index freshness between the phone number and the user based on the communication index and the communication freshness. A control unit(110) calculates the relationship between the phone number and the user based on the communication index freshness, and arranges and displays a directory according to the relationship.
