The plate (7) has an associated sealing joint (8) made of rubber and arranged to be applied on a tunnel (4), where the plate is formed under the form of hat, and is made of hard plastic material or metal. A base (7b) is provided with a fixation unit i.e. fixation screw (25), for fixing the plate on the tunnel, and a crown (7a) closed by a cover (7c) through which connection cables are passed. A part of the cover has an elastic coating made of elastomer and molded with sheaths that are adapted for guiding and orienting the cables. An independent claim is also included for a method for assembling cables of a shift mechanism in top position.
