CALIBRATION DEVICE, CALIBRATION METHOD, AND CALIBRATION PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To carry out calibration for compensating for the aged deterioration of output performance in an image forming apparatus.

SOLUTION: A calibration device comprises: a relative correction section 22 which normalizes a measured output value based on a range of values in which the measured output value can assume and normalizes a desired output value based on a range of values of the desired output value; an absolute correction section 23 which normalizes the measured output value and the desired output value based on the range of values of the desired output value; a relative calibration section 24 which calibrates the measured output value normalized by the relative correction section 22 relative to the characteristics of the desired output value normalized by the relative correction section 22; an absolute calibration section 25 which calibrates the measured output value normalized by the absolute correction section 23 relative to the desired output value normalized by the absolute correction section 23; and a hybrid calibration section 26 for performing calibration processing by the relative calibration section 24 and the absolute calibration section 25 executed in a predetermined proportion.
