PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a beat noise, particularly in a high-ISO sensitivity mode, and to maintain a high photographing operation speed, without decelerating the speed, in a digital still camera. SOLUTION: When high-ISO sensitivity is set, a drive frequency of an LCD is switched to suppress beat noise with a CCD drive frequency and to reduce appearance of periodic noise in a photographic image.
