PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shift fork in which local wear at a pawl portion is prevented. SOLUTION: The shift fork 1 using a synchronizing device for shifting a hub sleeve has the pawl portion 3 for abutting on the hub sleeve. The pawl portion 3 has a first abutting surface 3a on the abutting face at least on the opposite side to the shifting direction of the hub sleeve for abutting the abutting face of the hub sleeve in parallel thereto when the pawl portion 3 is inclined with the movement of the hub sleeve in the shifting direction due to other factors than the movement of the shift fork (the movement due to a suction load generated by a torque load, e.g.). The pawl portion 3 also has a second abutting surface 3b on the abutting face at least on the opposite side to the shifting direction of the hub sleeve for abutting on the hub sleeve in parallel thereto when abutting on the hub sleeve to shift the hub sleeve to the opposite side to the shifting direction.
