The invention relates to an appliance for playing back acoustic and/or visual works, which uses a touch-sensitive, printed, graphics user interface. The user interface comprises an interchangeable, printed, graphics display and a touch-sensitive sensor which identifies the contact point on the display. This allows large-area, freely configurable, pressure-sensitive user interfaces to be produced at low cost, which consume scarcely any electricity despite being ready for use all the time. The appliance for selection and presentation of acoustic and/or visual works offers images of all the media which can be played back for selection at the same time on this user interface, therefore avoiding the need for complex navigation concepts in order to search through lists and menu structures. Control elements which are likewise displayed can be used to produce ancillary texts at the side, thanks to the high resolution. The appliance is not regarded as entertainment electronics or even as a computer, but as a framed image, and therefore fits harmoniously into a domestic environment. |
