摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure the three-dimensional flow rate of a fluid at an arbitrary position. SOLUTION: Three ultrasonic current meters 10 for emitting an ultrasonic wave in a predetermined direction are arranged at positions, which are known and different from each other. At least three microphones 12 for receiving an ultrasonic wave at positions, which are known and different from each other. The direction of a transmission wave of the ultrasonic current meter 10 is changed to be transmitted from each ultrasonic current meter 10 to the three microphones 12, which are arranged at another positions. The direction of the transmission wave which gives larger reception intensity at each microphone 12 is detected at each ultrasonic current meter 10. The normal direction and azimuthal standard direction at each ultrasonic current meter 10 are identified. The direction of the transmission wave from each ultrasonic current meter 10 is controlled, and the reflected wave of the transmission wave from each ultrasonic current meter 10 is received by the ultrasonic current meter 10 at the same position, thereby detecting a three-dimensional flow rate at an arbitrary position in the transmission direction.
