A high temperature strength granting method for iron oxide sludge is provided to stabilize following process such as reduction by keeping high temperature strength while restraining the generation of dust caused by the oxidation of an organic binder. A high temperature strength granting method for iron oxide sludge includes the steps of drying iron oxide sludge generated in the iron manufacturing process, adding 2-3wt% of calcium hydroxide(Ca(OH)2) powder to the dried iron oxide sludge and adding 5-8wt% of water glass(Na2SiO3 5%+H2O 95%) to the powder mixed with 3-7wt% of sodium carbonate so as to mold a shape, drying the result by exhaust gas in a furnace of 180°C or higher. |
