<p>A multi-type air-conditioner operating method is provided to overcome weak heating of an indoor unit to which a refrigerant is insufficiently supplied to thereby improve the reliability of the air-conditioner. A multi-type air-conditioner includes a plurality of outdoor units each of which has a compressor, a cooling/heating switching valve, an outdoor heat exchanger and an outdoor expansion valve and a plurality of indoor units each of which has an indoor expansion valve and an indoor heat exchanger. An indoor unit having insufficient refrigerant is detected from the plurality of indoor units(S4). When the indoor unit is detected, indoor expansion valves of other indoor units are closed to a predetermined opening extent(S5).</p> |
