<p>1473276 Separating krypton and xenon from air LENINGRAD TEKHNOLOGICHE I KHOLODILNOI PROMYSHLENNOSTI 27 March 1975 [26 April 1974] 12830/75 Heading B1L A krypton-xenon concentrate is obtained 'from air by contacting air at 90-110‹K with an adsorbent to adsorb xenon, krypton, oxygen, nitrogen and hydrocarbons (e.g. a zeolite) and thereafter describing the concentrate by heating the adsorbent to 250-280‹K over a period of 1-3 hours. The absorption may be carried out at 4-7 kg/cm<SP>2</SP> and the desorption at atmospheric pressure. The adsorbent may comprise a bed of silica gel combined with a bed of zeolite. The desorption may be followed by a second regenerating heating to 500-650‹K over a further period of 2-4 hours.</p> |
