<p>#CMT# #/CMT# Semi-finished product comprises an electrically conducting base body made from a non-precious metal material supporting a contacting coating made from a material that is more precious than the material of the base body. The coating has a thickness of at least 0.3 mu m and is made from silver or a silver-based alloy with an additive that, together with the silver or silver-based alloy, does not form any alloy or, at most, forms a precipitation alloy and has a melting point than silver. #CMT# : #/CMT# An independent claim is also included for a process for the production of the semi-finished product. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# For producing plug contacts in plug connectors for electric direct-current systems in motor vehicles. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The product has good mechanical and electrical properties. #CMT#INORGANIC CHEMISTRY : #/CMT# Preferred Features: The coating is 0.5-4 mu m. The additive is present in an amount of at least 0.2 wt.% but not more than 30 wt.%. The additive is made from tungsten, molybdenum, graphite, nickel, cobalt, metal oxide selected from tin oxide and zinc oxide, or tungsten carbide or molybdenum carbide. The coating is applied by PVD. The base body is made from CuNiSi, CuFeP, CuSn, CuZn, CuCrSiTi, CuNiSn, CuSnZn, CuBe, CuTi or stainless steel.</p> |
