<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deodorant which is hardly collapsed even when the deodorant contains much moisture or has high water content and in which industrial waste is utilized effectively. <P>SOLUTION: The deodorant includes soil, metal iron, a carbonized material and a chloride ion. The deodorant preferably includes 30-60 dry wt.% soil, 20-50 dry wt.% metal iron, 10-40 dry wt.% carbonized material and the chloride ion of 0.011-0.35 moles per 1 kg total dry weight of the deodorant.
