PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely maintain the parallelism between a fixed platen and a movable platen, to prevent the deterioration in the quality of a molding, and to improve the efficiency of assembly work. SOLUTION: The mold clamping device of an injection molding machine is equipped with a support body 10 which is formed to protrude on both side in the forward/backward direction from the lower part 3b of the movable platen 3 and carries out supporting slidably on a base. The support body 10 is composed of a first support part 20 which is formed integrally with part of the lower part 3b of the movable platen 3 and protrudes to the fixed platen and a second support part 30 which has a first fitting surface which is made attachable/detachable to/from the lower part 3b of the movable platen 3 and fixed to the lower part side 3c of the movable platen 3 and a second fitting surface which is fixed to the rear end surface 3d of the movable platen 3 and protrudes on the rear end side in the forward/backward direction from the rear end surface 3d while being fitted to the lower part 3b of the movable platen 3.
