VPN FAILURE PROCESSING METHOD AND NETWORK PROVIDER EDGE ROUTER

摘要

A VPN failure processing method and network provider edge router PE are disclosed. The method includes: PE detects whether far-end VPN route number of PE itself is satisfied with a predetermined request; when far-end VPN route number of PE is not satisfied with the predetermined request, the PE uses failure processing information to process failure; until the far-end VPN route number of PE is satisfied with the predetermined request, the PE notifies failure elimination by using failure processing information. The solution of present invention allows CE belonging to PE to transfer stream to PE only when far-end VPN route number is satisfied with the predetermined request by correlating far-end VPN route number of PE with failure processing information. So, the solution can solve service interruption problem when CE transfers stream to PE under the circumstances that PE has not far-end VPN route.
