<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a processing speed of another job decreases or another job cannot be executed because another job becomes short of a use memory region caused by a memory region occupied by a job when an error occurs in the job in an image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus manages the memory region occupied by the job on the basis of a job ID. Once the error of the job occurs, data of the memory region used by the job is transferred from a main storage device to a secondary storage device, and the occupied memory region of the main storage device is opened. Memory data once transferred to the secondary storage device can be transferred again to the main storage device and restored.
