<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To examine the presence or absence of light emitting of light emitting elements prior to securing to a connecting substrate that is in a condition of the single body of a display device. <P>SOLUTION: A drain electrode 82 and a source electrode 81 are communicated with each other (ON) because the potential of a gate electrode 83 is the same potential as an examining voltage in TFT 80. Thus, current flows from the drain electrode 82 to the source electrode 81, the potential of the source electrode 81 becomes the same as the examining voltage, therefore the examining voltage is applied to the gate electrode 93 of the TFT 90. Consequently, the TFT 90 falls in an ON condition, current flows from the drain electrode 92 to the source electrode 91, and the current It corresponding to the examining voltage to the light emitting element 1 as shown.
