<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus to carry out a surgical treatment of a patient. <P>SOLUTION: The apparatus is at least one terminal action device, constructed with a surgical tool having a hollow tubular member and an action member extending through at least a part of the hollow tubular member so as to manipulate a tissue and connected to the distal end of the action member, and is equipped with a main driving apparatus fitted to induce a vertical motion of the tubular member to induce its motion, and an independent driven-wheel driving apparatus operably connected to the action member and actuating the terminal action device to move the action member to the tubular member, and to move the action member together with the tubular member so as to position the terminal action device to make possible a selective vertical motion of the action material.
