<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image editing apparatus for allowing a user to perform filter processing to image data easily. <P>SOLUTION: A distribution destination information management portion 112 associates filter permission information 71 indicative of propriety on filter set-up for each index recorded on an index data 6 with a distribution destination information 7 where the distribution destination of a printed document, on which document image data 5 are printed, is recorded to manage the information. A filter setting portion 113 creates filter set-up data 8, based on the filter permission information 71 and the index data 6. The filter set-up data 8 are information for associating the index permitted on filter set-up with a filter pattern. A user performs filter set-up to the document image data 5 for each distribution destination, using a set-up interface displayed on a monitor 21.
